Introduction

  • The Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) has been awarded the operation service contract for the North District Health Centre Express, which is part of the government's initiative to establish District Health Centers (DHC) in all 18 districts. The aim of the DHCs is to provide primary healthcare services through collaboration between medical and social sectors, as well as public-private partnerships, in order to enhance the public's self-management of health and support the chronically ill.

  • A mobile application for the North District Health Centre (DHC) is developed with accessible and user-friendly designs. The application will serve as a platform for the DHC Scheme and will be hosted in a specified domain provided by the government. The goal of the project is to create a mobile app that allows users to access and utilize the services and resources offered by the North DHC efficiently. The app is expected to provide features such as information dissemination, health assessments, event updates and enrolment, membership management, and communication channels for the users. For the admin portal, it allows authorized personnel to manage users, content, event management notifications, analytics, settings, and security for efficient administration of the application.

Pain Points

Limited Awareness and Knowledge

Limited Awareness and Knowledge:Many individuals in the community may lack awareness of available healthcare services and resources, leading to a lack of knowledge about preventive measures, health education, and available support. This can result in delayed or inadequate healthcare-seeking behavior and missed opportunities for early intervention and disease

Difficulty in Sustaining Motivation

Maintaining long-term engagement and motivation towards personal health goals can be challenging for individuals. They may struggle with staying committed to healthy habits, tracking progress, and receiving ongoing support and motivation. Without sustained motivation, individuals may find it difficult to adopt and maintain positive health behaviors.

Simplifying Event Enrollment

The process of enrolling in health-related events, workshops, or programs can be complex and time-consuming. Individuals may face difficulties in finding relevant events, understanding registration procedures, and managing event attendance. Simplifying the event enrollment process can encourage more participation and engagement in health-promoting activities.

Easy Content Management

Efficiently managing and updating content within the system can be a pain point for administrators. They may face challenges in organizing and publishing relevant and up-to-date information, news, announcements, and resources. Streamlining content management processes can help ensure that users have access to accurate and timely information for better decision-making and engagement with healthcare services.

Membership application

The membership app for North DHC enables convenient access to personalized services, activity schedules, health information, and community resources. Users can register, update their details, and participate in health surveys. The app offers a reservation system for appointments and equipment booking, along with a rewards program. It empowers members to actively manage their health and maximize their membership benefits.

Homepage

Upon logging into the app, users can effortlessly access their entry pass and conveniently update their daily bio data. Stay ahead with a glance at upcoming bookings for registered events and gym equipment availability. The app intelligently displays personalized course recommendations based on users' personal information. Stay informed and up-to-date with the latest news conveniently located at the bottom.

GYM Booking

North DHC have provide a wide range of gym equipment, from cardio machines to weights and more for citizens to use. Users can book their desired equipment slots in advance, ensuring availability and avoiding wait times. Receive reminders and notifications for their scheduled sessions, keeping users on track with fitness goals.

Health Data Tracking

With this app function, users can effortlessly track and manage their health data, whether they prefer manual input or syncing with their smart watch. Monitor crucial biometrics like heart rate, sleep patterns, steps, calories burned, and more. In additional, health tips and recommended classes will be push to users base on those data.

Course & Event

With this app, users can easily explore and enroll in various health classes and lecture that interest them by one click. Moreover, since users’s health and bio datas are uploaded to client’s backend, system will suggest special events base on those data and invite them to join. Last but not least, users can check in and take attendance with the entry pass, which help to reduce human effort for North DHC.

Reward System

In order to encourage users to do more exercise and measure bio data regularly, a reward system is developed. Users can earn points once they finished each task. By earning those points, user can redeem free gifts, sport equipments or special courses from North DHC.

Healthcare Appointment

Users can easily schedule and manage healthcare appointments with DHC’s nurses. Find and select appointment slots, receive reminders, review health report and recommended follow up action afterwards. Take control of your health with convenient and efficient appointment booking.

Admin Portal

The Admin Portal is a powerful tool designed to streamline administrative tasks and provide comprehensive control over the North District Health Centre Express Membership App. With the Admin Portal, administrators can efficiently manage user accounts, access detailed analytics and reports, oversee event and course scheduling, and monitor system settings. This centralized hub empowers administrators to effectively maintain and optimize the app's functionality, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for both users and staff.

Dashboard

A clean and well organised dashboard is designed for managing and viewing the latest members status, classes enrollment and booking data. Stay up-to-date with real-time information on enrollment numbers, class availability, and bookings. Viewing special members needs, allowing North DHC to provide support and service immediately.

Event Management

The event management function within the Admin Portal empowers administrators to effortlessly organize and oversee events for the North DHC Membership App. With this function, admins can easily create new events, set event details, manage event schedules, and track attendee registrations. Streamline event management processes, ensure effective communication, and provide a seamless experience for users.

Member Center

With in the members center, North DHC can manage and view member information effortlessly. Access and display members' details, including bio data, medical records and preferences. Track and showcase their event history, highlighting their participation and engagement. Additionally, identify and prioritize members who require special health care, ensuring their specific needs are addressed promptly.

Event Balloting System

For the event balloting system, North DHC can randomly select participants or set up specific criteria for eligibility. Ensure fairness and transparency in allocating event spots. Streamline management, track submissions, and send notifications to applicants seamlessly. Simplify event selection and guarantee equal opportunities for all applicants.
