Background

Midland's agencies were constrained to updating property information and generating proposals via desktop computers in the office, limiting their ability to provide instant recommendations to clients while out in the field. This project aims to enhance accessibility and responsiveness for agents.

Aim

To address these challenges, we aim to design a cloud-based property database application for Midland. This solution will enable agencies to update property information, search for listings, and generate professional digital proposals anytime and anywhere using smartphones or tablets.

User Pain Points

  • The intranet restricts access to property information to office use only, hindering agents' responsiveness to client inquiries and reducing efficiency when working remotely.

  • The user interface is cluttered and reminiscent of Windows 2000, making it difficult for new users to quickly familiarize themselves with the system.

  • Prominently displaying rarely used functions in the UI causes confusion among users, leading to inefficiencies and detracting from essential, frequently utilized tools.

  • Established users are hesitant to embrace significant changes, fearing a steep learning curve to adapt to the new interface and functionalities of the system.

Key Features

  • Agents can access the property database anytime, anywhere using smartphones or tablets, enabling them to respond quickly to client inquiries while on the go.

  • A redesigned, user-friendly interface minimizes clutter and highlights essential functions, reducing the learning curve for established users and enhancing overall usability.

  • We recognize the frustration from cluttered UI. Our revamped system will prioritize common features, simplify the interface, and organize functions logically for improved user efficiency.

  • To ease resistance from long-time users, the updated system will maintain familiar workflows and positions, ensuring a smooth transition while introducing valuable enhancements and improved functionality.

Result

The implementation of the new cloud-based property database system resulted in a significant increase in deal closings and property listings. Agents reported a 30% improvement in response times to client inquiries, leading to faster decision-making. Additionally, streamlined access to property information and enhanced usability contributed to a 25% increase in property listings. Overall, the project has successfully enhanced operational efficiency and user satisfaction, driving growth for Midland's agencies.

Property search

The revamped UI for the property search function retains familiar positioning, enhancing usability. This improvement allows users to effortlessly find properties, making it one of the system's most vital features.

Property details

The redesigned property details section features six organized tabs, grouping related information for enhanced clarity. This layout improves readability and allows users to easily access essential property details at a glance.

Search result

Incorporating empty space and padding in the search result layout creates a more comfortable viewing experience, allowing users to easily navigate and find their ideal unit effortlessly.

The Media Center showcases a comprehensive gallery of property visuals, including photos, videos, and layout plans. This organized hub allows users to explore each property’s unique features effortlessly.

Property proposal

Online proposal

Online proposals can be generated and shared directly through the property database system. Each proposal includes essential information such as property details, multimedia elements, and transaction history, ensuring a comprehensive presentation that enhances communication and decision-making for users.

Mobile supported

Enhancing Productivity on the Go

Both the property management system and online proposal feature a responsive mobile view, enabling agencies to work seamlessly from their smartphones. This mobile support enhances productivity, allowing users to access essential tools and information on the go, ensuring efficient management and timely decision-making regardless of their location.
